The Del Mar is an interesting base for a compact surfskate with genuine personality. Its limited width works well for riders who enjoy fast angle changes and do not require a large platform. The flat concave keeps the stance natural, while the tail rocker provides a useful rear-foot reference.
This shape does require more deliberate foot placement than a wide deck. We therefore recommend it mainly to riders intentionally seeking lively handling and an outline inspired by early skateboards rather than maximum forgiveness.
