⚡ Long Island Genesis - An articulated system for flowing turns
The Long Island Genesis truck set is intended for building or equipping a surfskate. It includes an articulated front truck, a rear truck, risers and mounting hardware. Its geometry offers a wide steering range for carving and pumping: generating movement by coordinating your body rather than repeatedly pushing against the ground.
★ Two half-moon bushings control the movement
The front mechanism uses two specially shaped half-moon bushings. These provide resistance and return without a spring. The articulation allows deep lean for linked turns and weight-transfer practice. The resulting feel also depends on the deck, its wheelbase and setup adjustment; the truck system alone does not define how the complete board handles.
⚙️ A set for a custom build
Hanger width is specified as 159 mm, approximately 160 mm. This describes the truck body, not the full axle width with wheels. Construction is cast aluminium and wheel axles are 8 mm. Deck and wheel selection should take mounting-hole spacing, width and turning clearance into account. The supplied risers are part of the setup, but wheel clearance still needs checking at full lean.
